Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures in Costa Rica

If you are ready for the dental implants restoration we can do the crown implants in Costa Rica.

Dental implants are anchors placed in bone, usually made from titanium or titanium alloy. They can support dental restorations which replace missing teeth. Some restorative applications include supporting crowns, bridges, or dental prostheses. Note: For dental implant restoration we require dental implant specifications

LUMINEERS® Porcelain Veneers
LUMINEERS ® are porcelain veneers that offer the painless way to a permanently whiter and perfectly aligned smile. Your LUMINEERS dentist can apply these contact lens-thin "smile shapers" to teeth without any grinding or shaving, transforming teeth into a naturally beautiful smile that looks perfect for every individual. LUMINEERS can even be placed over existing crown or bridgework without having to replace them. LUMINEERS are placed over existing teeth without having to remove painful tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers.) It is the permanent cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth.

Teeth Whitening Bleaching
Enjoy the look of a whiter, more radiant smile with a teeth-whitening treatment. We offer different bleaching/Whitening options. This is the ideal complement to dental hygiene or oral restorations.

Safe Amalgam Removal

Many people are deciding they want to have their silver amalgam (mercury) fillings removed, but this can cause a tremendous amount of mercury to be absorbed by their body and make them ill. To help prevent this, safety precautions should be used so the person won't swallow or breathe mercury vapor while the fillings are being drilled out.

We use:

• Safety glasses are put over your eyes to protect them from settling mercury particles and vapor.
• A rubber dam will be placed over your mouth. This is a sheet of rubber that helps keep the mercury from going down your throat.
• Copious amounts of cold water will be constantly squirted on the filling as it's being drilled out, to keep the temperature down.
• A Clean-up device will be used when necessary. The Clean-up fits over the tooth and is attached to the suction, so it pulls all particles away from the tooth as the filling is being drilled out.
• The fillings will be taken out with as little drilling as possible, in as large chunks as possible, to minimize the amount of mercury vapor released into the air.

Composite resins
After an accident, trauma, cavities or any other dental problems, one of the treatments recommended by our team is a white composite restoration. Such restorations are made when a small portion of the tooth needs to be reconstructed. Resins are applied to the tooth, and after undergoing photo-curing and polishing, these acquire the necessary properties to give you a shiny and natural looking smile.

Porcelain veneers
Give your teeth a new look with porcelain veneers. This type of restoration covers your front teeth with a porcelain veneer that helps the tooth acquire a fresh new look, since it hides all imperfections caused by pigmentation (stained teeth), small fractures or any other small imperfections.

Inlays/Onlays
Do you have silver or blackened fillings that you wish to change into something more aesthetic-looking? Are your molars affected by small to moderate cavities? Are they cracked, fractured or do they show damages that are still not severe enough for a dental crown? Then this type of restoration may be part of your treatment in order to fulfill your expectations! Remember that in order to qualify for porcelain inlays, your teeth must have at least 80% of their original structure present and intact.

Dental crowns
This type of restoration is used on teeth that show a significant loss of dental structure. A much damaged tooth is strengthened in its entirety by covering it with a porcelain jacket. This way the tooth recovers its function and natural beauty.

Dental bridges
When one or more teeth are lost, a bridge may be the recommended solution. The bridge is a structure that spans through space between teeth, which is connected by existing teeth in both side. Lost teeth are replaced by crowns cemented to such structure, and once these are fixed in place, your mouth regains its functions and healthy and natural look.

Complete dentures
These types of removable oral restorations are designed for persons that have lost all their teeth, upper, lower or both, for different reasons. With complete dentures the appearance functionality of the mouth is renewed. They are also utilized in the initial stage before complete fixed rehabilitation through implants.

Partial Dentures
By employing the teeth that still exist in the mouth, partial dentures help restore empty areas after loss of teeth.

Full mouth rehabilitations
These are highly complex rehabilitations involving all or almost all the teeth. When is this treatment necessary? The reasons range from a large quantity of crowns and bridges made during several years, where the materials and colors are different; persons with bruxism whose teeth have been worn due to constant teeth grinding; gastric reflux, or any other disorders causing the loss of dental structure.
